More About Out of Steam

         In 2011, when we were pregnant with our first child, we decided that there had to be more to live than working at jobs that we had no passion for. My husband worked retail, stocking shelves at night, and I was a housekeeper. That is when we decided to entertain the idea to start our own at home business. And thus NatureEscape Photography was born. We did a lot of nature photos and sold them at crafting events. Soon after, we started doing Endurance Rides for local horse owners. It took our dream of owning our own business to a whole new level. Selling things out of the house was an exciting concept.

        December of 2014, we came up with the concept of having a retail online business for unique items not found at most events. We started out with Furry Bones products and worked our way up from there. At the time, we were working full time with a newborn and toddler in the house. On the weekends, we did photo events and were just starting out with a retail business. Thus the company name “Out of Steam” came about.

       We started out carry Sci-fi/Geek type items along with a dream of a new line in Steampunk products. Our passion is still there but we decided to do more handmade stuff. Something we can have pride in, instead of selling what other stores are doing.

       As of  2022, our kids have decided to check out what its like to have their own business. We got them set up and cant wait to see where they go from here. So be sure to watch their growth within our business.
